90 Days of Beauty - Day #89, I Have a Herring Problem

NOTD: OPI I Have a Herring Problem
 
Today's Nail of the Day is another polish from the OPI 2012 Holland Collection - I Have a Herring Problem. This is another mini bottle from the adorable Dutch Treats minis. It wasn't as sheer as Pedal Faster Suzi!, it covered nicely in two coats. I know that OPI goes over the top with their polish names, but this collection really cracked me up!

The color is less blue on the nails, it's a dusky teal with a chunky shimmer that seems to be gold and silver at the same time. The other similar color in the collection, I Don't Give a Rotterdam, is bluer, without the touch of green.

Under the flash, the sparkle shows up nicely and looks more gold.

Blurred, the sparkle is more obvious and you can really see the depth in this pretty two-coater

And lastly, in natural light through the window:

Under natural light, you get a good sense of the dusty teal base color, and the shimmer is still visible but looks more silver than gold.

90 Days of Beauty - Day #90

A bunch of the women from the Never Too Much Glitter Facebook group have decided to do a 90 days beauty blogging challenge and I decided to join in!

Today's post is a Nail of the Day:

Pedal Faster Suzi! from the 2012 OPI Holland Collection

This is one of those cute little mini bottles! The color looks lighter in the bottle than it shows up on the nail.

 Flash, 3 coats.

Pedal Faster Suzi! is a color that I didn't think I would like. I'm not the hugest pink fan... But it's really lovely and I thought it looked nice with my skin tone. It's a delicate feminine pink with an almost gritty looking (but not feeling) silver shimmer. The shimmer makes the polish into something really special.

Here she is blurred a little to see the sparkle:

 Flash, blurred, 3 coats

Sunlight through window, 3 coats

Without the flash, the sparkle is not as noticeable, you end up seeing more of a glowy shimmer.
